DASI Simulations Named One of Ohio's Best Health Startups
Columbus, Ohio — October 11, 2021 — DASI Simulations has been honored with being named one of BestStartups’ Best Health Diagnostic Companies and Startups in Ohio. BestStartups focuses showcasing the greatest American companies, innovations, and breakthroughs. This nomination is limited to technologies that show the greatest potential to have societal health impacts.
DASI Simulations was founded in 2019 by Teri Sirset and Dr. Lakshmi Prasad Dasi, who is currently a Professor at Georgia Tech and Emory University. The two first met at the TCT conference in San Diego. At the time, Teri was working with silicon vessel modeling technology; Dr. Dasi was working as a professor of biomedical engineering and surgery at The Ohio State University. Teri’s silicon vessels of the heart and aortic system in tandem with Dr. Dasi’s technology was a perfect match with a real future for computational AI-based imaging for structural heart disease patients.
“We are very honored and pleased to be considered one of the best startups in Ohio,” said Teri Sirset, MS, Co-founder, President, and CEO of DASI Simulations. “It is gratifying that we’ve been recognized for our hard work and the incredible impact this innovative technology has for heart disease patients everywhere.”
About DASI Simulations’ Technology
DASI Simulations provides advanced artificial intelligence-driven computational predictive modeling that allows physicians and heart surgeons to predict and visualize the interaction between various heart implants and devices and a patient’s unique anatomy while freeing up their time from making time-consuming measurements. DASI Simulation’s fully automated AI-based measurements are highly accurate, repeatable, and reproducible while speeding up the workflow for heart teams to reach optimal decisions quicker.
About DASI Simulations
Founded in 2019, DASI Simulations, based in Dublin, Ohio, performs advanced individualized computational predictive modeling for heart surgery candidates. The modeling is powered by artificial intelligence and computer vision to help heart surgeons better plan for the surgery and any potential complications, which leads to improved patient outcomes and reduced costs associated with structural heart disease surgeries.
